THE AMBIENCE were formed in 2002 in the Medway Towns in Kent, UK. Having established themselves as one of the most popular bands on the local scene, they now also play the London circuit regularly.

Following widespread radio air play, the band were invited to play at the 2004 Te Mikka Festival in Slovenia. This was a great success, earning the band a host of new fans.

Described as shoegaze / melodic indie / post-rock, the band members are influenced by artists such as The Verve, My Bloody Valentine, The Smiths, and I Like Trains.
